By creating OKKO HOTELS, we were keen to take into account the challenges of our employees, our partners and suppliers, the city where we are located, as well as environmental issues. A hotel in the heart of the city: At OKKO HOTELS, we think about the planet at all stages of the project. Even before building the hotel, we selected a location with easy access by train and public transport: the Presque’île Malraux. The goal? Meet the needs of travelers who favor green transport to no longer increase their carbon footprint during their travels. Intelligent equipment:
Limit energy and water costs: no mini-bars in rooms. High-end bedding made from natural materials: made up of a wooden base and a mattress made of coconut fiber, natural rubber and wool, they do not contain springs or chemical foam. The duvets and pillows are treated in an ecological way against allergens. An adornment that respects the body and the environment Our bedding sets are polyester free and made from 50% Italian cotton and 50% linen washed in Italy. Labeled OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100, they meet very strict specifications and are free of all products toxic to the body and the environment. Fair trade cotton towels. Fewer single-use amenity products: amenity products are available on request at reception to limit single-use consumption. For shampoo and shower gel, eco-pumps are available in the shower. Eliminate plastic at the Club In the Club, there are no more water bottles but zero waste and zero kilometer Castalie water fountains. We do not offer any individually wrapped products at breakfast time except for gluten-free products which require them to be packaged. Promote organic, artisanal and local products We source local businesses, within a 100km radius of the hotel to follow a slow food approach and limit the transport of goods. We work with the Maison Alsacienne de la Biscuiterie, the La Perle brewery… Fight against food waste We limit food waste as much as possible by offering carefully selected products, a little less but of better quality, particularly on the breakfast buffet.
