France's No. 1 women's tennis tournament, No. 1 sporting event in the Grand Est region and No. 1 eco-responsible event in France, the 38th Strasbourg Internationals will be held from May 17 to 24, 2025, at the foot of the European Parliament, at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg, 20 Rue Pierre de Coubertin, Strasbourg.

In 2024, the tournament took on a new dimension, becoming a WTA 500 tournament. This makes the #IS the 3rd biggest tennis event in France, after Roland-Garros and the Rolex Paris Masters! This implies several changes: more prize-money distributed, a more impressive sporting line-up, doubled attendance, multiplied audiences and a progressive restructuring of the site.

Our sustainable approach

The Strasbourg International Tennis Tournament has been committed to an eco-responsible approach since 2010, in order to reduce its carbon footprint as much as possible.

This commitment stems from an in-depth reflection on the positioning of the event beyond its sporting aspect. Considering that an event is a veritable "medium" in its own right, the HOPIS team wished, in addition to sporting values, to convey exemplary environmental and societal values.

The ADEME (Agence de l'Environnement et la Maîtrise de l'Energie - French Environment and Energy Management Agency) was keen to support this approach, and has made the Internationaux de Strasbourg its benchmark in the sporting events category. In addition, the Internationaux de Strasbourg was awarded the label "Développement durable, le sport s'engage" by the CNOSF.

Five carbon audits were carried out, and meticulous work at all levels of the organization produced encouraging results:

- The introduction of a behavioural change dynamic among suppliers, partners, spectators, players and all tournament participants.

- A 30% reduction in carbon emissions since 2010.
